A Very English, Chic Traditional Sperry Tent Wedding - India and Sean.
It’s been so long since we blogged anything! Wedding season this summer was just so busy. We moved house in August and settled just near Colchester, so we are now Essex based wedding photographers! It is going to be a big change from living in the north of England but we are enjoying it already. I know its fully autumn now but we are only really starting to catch our breath and have some time to reflect on all the lovely moments we’ve been asked to document this year.
One of our weddings of 2019 really does stand out to us as something we wanted to share. The wedding of India and Sean in May was such a highlight of our year as photographers and videographers. It was such a beautiful day; perfectly expressing their identity as a couple but also had that timeless element.
They decided to get ready in India’s family home in Harmsted, Lincoln. It was a peaceful morning for the bride and her sisters to get ready together. We really love this kind of atmosphere as documentary wedding photographers because it allows us to capture some really serene and quiet moments before the guests arrive and the day begins.
India chose a Half Penny London Dress which is one of the loveliest bridal brands of all time. Take a look at the full gallery to see the second skirt and detachable sleeve detailing.
After opening their letters and gifts to each other on the morning of the wedding, India walked with her family to the village church. It was so special to share this journey with them, walking through the lovely little streets.
After exchanging the vows, they were all married and official! We took some photos outside on the steps of the church, some family formal photographs and also some candid moments capturing the joy of the afternoon.
Them, we hopped in our car, following India and Sean in their vintage red Ferrari. We arrived at an old stately home belonging now to India’s family with a beautiful Sperry tent from Papa Kata all set up in the garden. We love Sperry tents because they are so spacious and light, giving protection from the unpredictable English weather while embracing the outdoors. It makes our job as wedding photographers even better when the lighting is natural and beautiful like this.
Styling and organising were done perfectly by the amazing team at Hall & Co, where every detail had been considered and tastefully arranged.
The blooms and florals looked like they had just been swept up from a wildflower meadow and wistfully arranged, with daises and grasses by Coco in the Country.
To end of a perfect day, Mini Big Band provided the live music and quite honestly, we see a lot of bands as wedding photographers, and they were one of the best we have ever heard.
Congratulations on a beautiful day, India and Sean!
